Our Purchase of MCGA! (Mobile Concrete & Grout of Alaska)

We have very exciting news for 2024 – we recently purchased Mobile Concrete and Grout of Alaska (MCGA)!! This has been in the works since October of 2023, and papers were signed end of January 2024. It has been hectic merging the two companies, with a lot of learning/figuring out as we go along. Terry Waschke, the previous owner of MCGA is still very much involved – he will be acting in a consulting capacity for our new MCGA services, so any existing customers or new ones coming on board will be fully taken care of.

What does this mean for you?

Polyseal’s existing services will not be changing at all – we will continue to focus on being the best spray foam and structural geo foam company in the state of Alaska, and this purchase adds a whole list of tools to our existing kit. Our main company focus has always been to provide specialty construction solutions – we get fired up on fixing/solving complex, oddball construction problems, from insulation solutions for extreme weather conditions, to helping restore settled house foundations, airport tarmacs, cell towers, tunnels, you name it. With the purchase of MCGA, our updated services include but are not necessarily limited to;

Slip-line Grouting: the process of injecting structural grout between old failing underground piping, and the new pipe slip-lined into place to restore the system.

Batching: Providing tested and certified batch designs for remote concrete pours around Alaska.

Superbag Mixes: Providing/shipping pre-mixed super sacks for remote or local jobs that have need of a specific concrete mix design.

Remote Concrete: Providing equipment and operators for pumping/pouring concrete to anywhere that needs items shipped in by truck, barge, ferry, or plane.

Void Filling/Abandonments: We already offer this service with geofoam, but grout or geofoam can be used interchangeably depending on quantities needed/what the specs call for. Can be used to fill and abandon pipes, tanks, etc.

Compaction Grouting: Another service that geofoam can tackle, but in some situations either grout or geofoam can be a better solution. Now we can do both!

-Full Service Spray Foam: This will always be one of our main focuses, and we continue to offer the highest grade spray foam services for everyone in Alaska, on both a residential and commercial level.

Deep Injection: Using specialized technology, we can deep inject structural geofoam into the ground to massively strengthen it – this can can used for house foundations, new areas to build on, warehouses, etc. This can also be used to earthquake-proof your house! If your house is level but you are concerned it might be on troubled ground, it is much cheaper to do preventative measure with DI than to come in later to lift and restore the foundation.

Foundation Lifting: We specialize in lifting and restoring settled homes – some settled as little as 2″, all the way to 2 feet! The methodology is better outlined here.

Helical Piers: We offer full service helical pier installation for the foundations of houses, cabins, saunas, decks, and more.

Slab Lifting: Using structural geofoam (and now potentially grout) we can lift and restore settled garage slabs, sidewalks, warehouses, and more.

Attic Restoration: With the troubles in recent years from ice-damming, we specialize in coming in to restore ventilation, fix vapor barriers, add additional insulation, and more to help renovate your attic. At this time, we dont offer the service of loose blown removal from an attic, but this typically is not necessary unless your existing insulation is extremely damaged.

With the advent of all of this, we have decided to update our name to a combined version: Polyseal / MCGA, to allow for more familiarity to customers that have dealt with either company in the past. We are very excited moving forward, and want to continue our pursuit of provding specialized construction solutions to both companies and homeowners across the state of Alaska!
